Thank you for your application to the 2007 Complex Systems Summer Schools. I am sorry to inform you that we cannot offer you a place in either school.
The competition this year was extremely strong; we received over 400 applications, and could offer only about 50 places at each location (Santa Fe and Beijing). Selection therefore was extremely difficult, and we regretfully had to turn down a large number of highly qualified candidates.
We very much appreciate your interest in the summer schools, and encourage you to continue your studies and enthusiasm related to the field of complex systems.
